On February 3rd, 2015 Kinston Public Services began a "Like" & Share Giveaway in an effort to increase our number of followers on our social media accounts. Our social media accounts are our first point of contact in emergency situations. We post when bid advertisements have been added to the website, we post reminders of holiday closings, and lots of other important news and updates.

The 5 winners will be chosen when our Twitter and Facebook accounts reach 500 users. Please see disclaimer for winning requirements.

  Water Disinfectant Change
Beginning March 16th, 2015 until April 20th, 2015 the City of Kinston will temporarily change the disinfectant used in the water treatment process from chloramines to chlorine.

NRWASA wins the AWWA Best Tasting Water Contest
The Neuse Regional Water and Sewer Authority (NRWASA) received an award for having won the "Best Tasting Water Contest" at the North Carolina American Water Works Association (AWWA) Annual Convention. NRWASA is a state of the art surface water treatment facility that was built in western Lenoir County as an alternate source of water as a result of the "Central Coastal Plain Capacity Use Rules". NRWASA serves Lenoir and southern Pitt County and is owned and comprised of the following entities : Town of Ayden, Bell Arthur Water Corporation, Deep Run Water Corporation, Eastern Pines Water Corporation, Town of Grifton, City of Kinston, North Lenoir Water Corporation, and the Town of Pink Hill.
