The functions of the Environmental Services section include providing professional, reliable and efficient collection, transportation and disposal of residential and commercial garbage, vegetative and non-vegetative trash, white goods, residential recyclable materials, and leaves during leaf season.

Environmental Services also provides vector control to minimize the mosquito population in Kinston. Known breeding sites are treated routinely to control the population and our technician sprays neighborhoods for mosquitos periodically during warm weather months and also applies larvicides in ditches and other areas of standing water where mosquitos breed.
