The Department of Public Services' Safety Officer oversees a comprehensive occupational safety program that reduces personal injuries and damages to City equipment and property. The success of this program can be seen by the numerous safety awards the Department wins from the NC Department of Labor on an annual basis.
The Safety Officer ensures the Department complies with all OSHA guidelines, develops standards and goals, analyzes accident data to identify trends measure program effectiveness, coordinates training programs, and conducts scheduled and unscheduled worksite audits. |
